The term "zap" comes from the very beginning of Nostr + Lightning development!
The very first lightning connections used valve relays, and fiatjaf would regularly get electrical shocks testing the early network. Lightning payments on Nostr were named "zaps" to honor his sacrifice in the early days of Nostr development.
